Notice on the Final of the 9th Shanghai College Students' New Material Innovation and Creativity Competition

Final time: 9:00-16:30, October 23, 2022 (Sunday)


Final form:

(1) Concentrated display, judges' inquiry and scoring, to generate second prize, third prize and first prize recommendation projects.

(2) The project defense (PPT needs to be prepared) will result in the first prize.


Each team has 2m × 2m × The exhibition space of 2m (one table, three walls, see the attached figure) is at the discretion of the participating team. Posters, exhibition boards, videos, real objects and other forms can be used. The works are encouraged to be displayed in real objects. On the day of the final, all teams are invited to receive expert inquiries at the booth. Each team should prepare a 5-minute PPT for the first prize defense.


Place of the final: Sports Center of Shanghai University of Technology (next to the material building)


All teams are requested to move in at the competition venue on October 22 (Saturday).


matters needing attention:

(1) Each team is requested to send the participant information registration form (including the identity and health information of no more than two exhibitors, two finalists and other members of the project team) to the competition mailbox before October 20 (Thursday): clds@usst.edu.cn Submit to the Secretary Group of the General Assembly for the review of admission status.


(2) Each team is invited to move in at the venue from 9:00 to 16:30 on October 22 (Saturday), and to Room 217, Materials Building of Shanghai University of Technology to submit the original application form (in quintuplicate with the official seal of the school (college)) to the conference secretary group. Those without official seal will be disqualified).


(3) The work application form needs to be recommended by two recommenders (one instructor, one teacher with senior professional title, and signature required), experts, scholars or professional technicians in the same or related fields as the application work (collective recommendation by the teaching and research group is also acceptable).


(4) If there are supporting materials such as patents, papers and other awards related to the content of the entries, the original copies of the relevant materials must be provided, and at least one member of the team must be included in the author.


(5) Due to the uncertainty of the development of the COVID-19, each team should record a video of their works (the duration should not exceed 3 minutes and the size of the video should not exceed 300M) and submit it to the competition mailbox: clds@usst.edu.cn 。
