To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education, science and technology, and talent work, and further deepen the integration of industry and education as well as university-enterprise cooperation, from July 21 to 22, a delegation from the School of Materials and Chemistry of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) went to the headquarters of Fuyao Group and the School of New Materials and New Energy of Fuyao University of Science and Technology for research and exchange. Zhang Haiyan, Director of the Human Resources Management Center of Fuyao Group, Zheng Yongjian, Deputy Director, Lin Meifen, Campus Recruitment Manager, Wu Mingrong, Campus Recruitment Operations Specialist, Jiang Jianzhong, Dean of the School of New Materials and New Energy of Fuyao University of Science and Technology, and Zhong Cenchen, Administrative Assistant, received the delegation. Cao Ying, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials and Chemistry, Dong Xiaoliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Lin Zhiwei, Counselor, participated in the research. On the afternoon of July 21, accompanied by Director Zhang Haiyan, the delegation visited the exhibition hall of Fuyao Group, and gained an in-depth understanding of the enterprise's development history, core products, intelligent manufacturing, and global layout. In the Party-Mass Activity Room, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the characteristics of the Group's Party building, talent cultivation, and the integration path of Party building. Director Zhang Haiyan extended a warm welcome to Secretary Cao Ying and her delegation, and introduced Fuyao Group's talent echelon construction, university-enterprise cooperation model, and employees' career development. Deputy Director Zheng Yongjian focused on introducing the "Yao Xinxing" (Shining New Stars) campus recruitment and talent training program. Secretary Cao Ying expressed gratitude to Fuyao Group for its long-term support for the school's talent cultivation and employment work, and introduced the school's discipline construction, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation. The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on expanding students' internship and employment opportunities, constructing internship and practice bases, and jointly building Party organizations.
On the morning of July 22, the delegation went to the School of New Materials and New Energy of Fuyao University of Science and Technology. Accompanied by Dean Jiang Jianzhong, they visited the school building, new energy materials laboratory, electron microscope center, and teaching and research platforms, and gained a detailed understanding of the school's construction progress, research directions, and experimental teaching conditions. At the symposium, Dean Jiang Jianzhong introduced the school's orientation, construction overview, and other aspects. The two sides conducted in-depth communication on discipline layout, enrollment work, and talent cultivation. Secretary Cao Ying stated that Fuyao University of Science and Technology has made systematic planning and achieved high-start construction, high-quality enrollment, and high-level governance. She hoped that the two sides would strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future to jointly contribute to the cultivation of high-level talents in the national new materials field. This research and exchange activity is an important measure for the school to implement the special action of "visiting enterprises to expand posts and promote employment", and has laid a solid foundation for in-depth university-enterprise and university-university cooperation in the future. In the next step, the school will continue to promote the construction of a collaborative education mechanism with industry associations, key enterprises, and brother institutions, continuously improve the quality of talent cultivation, and serve the national new materials development strategy and the development of Shanghai's materials, chemical, and chemical engineering industries.
