To assist researchers in improving the success rate of publishing papers in Wiley materials and chemistry-related journals, the College of Materials and Chemistry hosted a seminar titled "Introduction to Wiley Materials Science Journals, Paper Submission, and Publication" on the afternoon of February 14, 2025. The event, held in the First Graphic-Text Conference Room, invited an editorial team from Wiley Publishing Group to share professional insights on manuscript submission. It aimed to help participants gain a deeper understanding of journal submission processes and techniques, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of academic publishing. The seminar was chaired by Qiu Biwei, Chair of the College’s Young Faculty Association.

Following the presentation, faculty members engaged in in-depth discussions with Wiley experts on strategies for publishing high-quality papers. Participants raised specific questions about topic selection, showcasing innovation, data presentation, and other key aspects. The Wiley experts provided detailed guidance, using real-world examples to explain how to improve the academic quality and competitiveness of manuscripts, particularly addressing how to effectively respond to reviewers’ comments during the peer-review process. Attendees noted that the interaction with experts clarified journal requirements and submission workflows, offering valuable advice for enhancing paper quality and increasing publication success.This exchange provided critical references and inspiration for researchers, equipping them with targeted strategies to improve precision and efficiency in future scientific writing and publishing endeavors.
