On December 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the College of Materials and Chemistry and the Security Department jointly organized a fire extinguisher practical training drill at the outdoor area outside the Materials Building. Faculty members and students from the College of Materials and Chemistry participated in the exercise.
Prior to the drill, professional firefighters delivered a presentation on fire extinguisher operation techniques and critical precautions for fire suppression, which captivated the full attention of all attendees. The hands-on practice session undoubtedly became the highlight of the event. The drill site buzzed with energy as participants enthusiastically engaged in the activity. Under the guidance of firefighting professionals, both faculty and students followed standardized operational procedures to practice fire suppression techniques, swiftly mastering essential skills that significantly enhanced their emergency response capabilities.
Through this educational exercise, the College of Materials and Chemistry community further strengthened its fire safety awareness and acquired practical evacuation skills. This initiative has helped internalize safety consciousness as second nature while equipping participants with vital competencies in fire suppression and emergency escape. Such efforts collectively contribute to building a secure, harmonious, and stable campus environment, thereby fortifying a robust safety defense line for the academic community.
