On September 6th, the Gongjun Road 1100 Campus of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology welcomed the 2025 undergraduate freshmen, who were full of aspirations. The high-spirited young students and their parents, filled with expectations, stepped onto the campus together—this place will become a brand-new starting point for them to pursue their dreams. Inside the gymnasium, the warm and kind teachers of the school and the patient and meticulous volunteers had already taken their positions at the registration points, waiting quietly for the arrival of the new students. The door to the new semester has opened, and a wonderful chapter of life is yet to be written! Orderly Registration, Warm Welcome The registration site was in good order. Freshmen completed identity verification through an efficient facial recognition system and could quickly finish registration by scanning a QR code. Teachers and student volunteers from the School of Materials and Chemistry performed their respective duties at their posts: they handled registration procedures for freshmen in an orderly manner, distributed new student gift packages (with the school’s characteristic cultural and creative products), brochures, and souvenirs, and warmly answered various questions from parents and freshmen.

Settle into the "Home" with Peace of Mind, Meticulous Care To help freshmen integrate into college life faster and feel the warmth of the school, on the afternoon of the registration day, the homeroom teachers of the school, leading a team of volunteers, visited the 2025 undergraduate freshmen in their dormitories. The teachers sat down and talked with the freshmen and their parents, carefully understanding how the freshmen were adapting to campus life, and had in-depth communication about the upcoming campus life and academic planning. In the face of questions raised by everyone regarding dormitory life and course arrangements, the teachers gave patient and detailed answers, effectively alleviating the concerns of parents and freshmen and conveying the warm care from the school.
Professional Guidance, Clarify Directions On the afternoon of the same day, the 2025 Undergraduate Major Orientation Seminar of the School of Materials and Chemistry was grandly held in the Comprehensive Lecture Hall of the 1100 Campus.
