7.1 Relevant regulations

7.1.1 Teaching evaluation system

At the end of each semester, the Academic Affairs Office of the Undergraduate School of USST will organize a questionnaire survey of students in each course to understand the performance of teachers in all aspects of the course teaching process. The questionnaires are collected and consolidated by the “Educational Administration System” developed by the Academic Affairs Office, submitted to the deans of schools, and sent back to relevant course teachers promptly. In December of each year, the Office of Academic Affairs and the School will also organize the selection of the “Course Teaching Excellence Award of USST” and the “Teaching Quality Excellence Award of the School” to award excellent teachers recognized by students, peers, and teaching supervisors. The evaluation form of teacher’s teaching quality is shown in Appendixes U and V. All teachers receive evaluations from both teachers and students at the end of the course. According to the evaluations, teachers make plans to improve the teaching through discussing with teachers and students.

7.1.2 Student admission evaluation

Since 2011, the undergraduate admission scores of the USST have been above the local admission qualification line of the first batch of undergraduate programs. The admissions of the Applied Chemistry program in the past five years are shown in Appendix F.

7.1.3 Further development and continuous improvement

To meet the demand of the job market and technological development, the Applied Chemistry program offers professional courses in the direction of biomedical chemistry for senior undergraduates. USST has also explored and proposed related support management systems continuously and established a special graduate tracking information system and network management system to collect and analyze the feedback information of employed graduates. In addition, the School also holds alumni symposiums during the school anniversary every year to establish a continuous exchange and communication platform with graduates, facilitate continuous improvement plans for teaching, and improve teaching level and quality.

7.2 Diploma supplement and qualification certificate

The samples of graduation certificate and bachelor’s degree certificate of students majoring in Applied Chemistry are shown in Appendix N with diploma supplement. All certificates shall be effective only after being affixed with the official seal of USST and signed by the President of USST.
