On the afternoon of 12th June, "Bismuth Colourful Chapter" Science and Art Creation Competition and Exhibition, co-sponsored by Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT), Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (SSTM) and Shanghai Science and Creative Education Steering Committee (SCESC), was officially launched at SIT.

Leaders and experts from Shanghai University of Technology, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Science and Innovation Education Steering Committee, Guangdong Pilot Rare Materials Co., Ltd, Nanjing University, Anhui University of Technology, Shanghai Science Writers Association, Shanghai Science Business Centre, Fudan University, East China University of Science and Technology, Tongji University and other universities and units, representatives of the Second Affiliated Middle School of Huanishida University, Biyu Middle School and middle schools of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, as well as calligraphers and painters, Singers and reporters from Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai Science and Technology News and other media, nearly 40 people attended the on-site activities.

Over the years, Shanghai Institute of Technology (SIT) has been actively responding to the call of the state, and has been carrying out social science education and science and technology creation activities in the community and the city for many years. In particular, the School of Material Chemistry, adhering to the university's sense of responsibility to serve the community, has set up a team of science popularisation and science and technology creation integrated service. This competition is another important activity of Shanghai Institute of Technology and Material Chemistry College to serve the society.
