To strengthen cooperation and exchange and improve the cultivation quality of graduate students, the School of Materials and Chemistry, USST and Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly held the Interim Report for 2020 Graduate Students and Academic Exchange Activities for Tutors. Members of the Interim Inspection Team of the Department of Chemistry, SMC, USST, team leader, newly-appointed tutors, tutors for joint cultivation of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, graduate students and students of joint cultivation of the Department of Chemistry, Grade 2020 participated in this meeting, which was hosted by Prof. Zhang Shuping, an academic leader of chemistry.
Prof. Zhang Shuping, on behalf of the School of Materials and Chemistry, extended a warm welcome to the tutors for joint cultivation of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, and showed gratitude to Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics for its trust and support in graduate education. And she expressed her wishes to students: "I hope you can make good use of the scientific research platform of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics and devote yourselves to assiduously studying in order to make achievements."
Then Wang Lei, a newly-appointed tutor and specially-appointed professor of the School of Materials and Chemistry, Zhu Yuanzheng, a lecturer, Lu Kun, a young teacher, and Hu Jiangtao, a researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, gave superb academic presentations, respectively, shared the latest academic achievements, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the teachers and students attending the meeting.
Finally, the Interim Inspection Team conducted a medium-term inspection on the key selected graduate students. The judges gave a detailed review of each graduate student's presentation from a professional viewpoint and put forward suggestions for improvement accordingly.
This interim report for graduate students and academic exchange for tutors is an opportunity for academic exchange between teachers and students, which is conducive to improving the cultivation quality of graduate students.
