In order to further strengthen the safety awareness and maintain the safety and stability of the campus, the school of materials has established a "1 + 2 + 3" safety education mode, which adheres to a bottom line, that is, to ensure the safety and stability of students; to grasp the two teams, namely, the counselor team and the student cadre team; to strengthen three measures, focusing on safety management, taking safety education as the premise, and hazard investigation as the breakthrough. Multi channel and multi coverage can improve the students' security ability.
1、 Tamp protection foundation and strengthen safety management
  In order to deeply summarize the work experience of safety education and improve the level of safety education, the school of materials held a regular meeting of students' safety work in Conference Room 301 of mechanical building on November 18. The meeting was presided over by Yan Jin, deputy secretary of the Party committee, and all counselors of the school of materials attended the meeting. Yan Jin conveyed novel coronavirus pneumonia safety meeting. Then, the three key tasks of the college were put forward: first, to further strengthen safety education; two, to manage daily work by staff linkage; three, to pay attention to the new crown pneumonia epidemic situation and to protect students' health. Counselors said that we must pay attention to the safety education of students, firmly establish the concept of "safety first, prevention first", and do a good job in class management with the working attitude of "students have no small things".
  From November 19 to November 24, the full-time and part-time counselors of the school of materials conducted a full coverage visit to the undergraduate and postgraduate dormitories of the school of materials. The focus of the visit was to investigate the potential safety hazards in the dormitories. In the process of investigation, counselors stressed the safety of dormitory electricity, avoid the use of high-power electrical appliances, pay attention to keep the safe passage unobstructed, to avoid the occurrence of safety accidents. Counselors should point out the problems in the dormitories with potential safety hazards and ask them to rectify them.
  Through the investigation of potential safety hazards, it is helpful to cultivate students' safety awareness and urge students to take safety precautions.
2、 Safety education in mind like heart, theme class meeting smoothly carried out
  In order to enhance the safety awareness of students and students, from November 19 to November 21, each class of undergraduate and graduate students in the school of materials held a class meeting with the theme of "safety education for college students". Each class adopted the form of online or offline according to the actual situation of the class.
In the class meeting, the monitor and the League branch secretary told the students about the dormitory fire safety instructions, so that students realize the importance of prevention in their daily life and wake up the safety alarm.
  After that, the head of each dormitory pasted the safety instructions in the dormitory and pasted it in the dormitory, and told the dormitory members about the fire prevention instructions.

3、 Party members should act as pioneers and work together safely
  In order to further play the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members, the school of materials has established a safe pair dormitory for Party members. Each party member and one or two dormitories form a pair to build a strong prevention network against security risks.
  From November 19 to 21, the party members of the undergraduate Party branch and the graduate Party branch of the school of materials carried out a pair activity of dormitory safety inspection. Student party members visited student dormitories, popularized fire safety and electricity safety knowledge, publicized the harm of using illegal electrical appliances, and publicized the school rules and regulations. During the visit, the student party members also inspected the civilization and sanitation of the dormitories, and suggested that the student cadres take the lead in sorting out the dormitory internal affairs and play an exemplary and leading role.
  This pair activity of dormitory safety inspection has condensed the strength of Party members and strengthened the mission and responsibility of Party members. Students have said that they should pay more attention to the safe use of electricity and learn from Party members.
