From July 14 to 15, 2026, the Guangde Science and Technology Service Summer Group from the School of Materials and Chemistry, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, travelled deep into Guangde City, Anhui Province. The group conducted a two‑day enterprise visit and technical docking activity targeting local material‑related enterprises in key industrial sectors including intelligent equipment, new materials, new energy, auto parts and electronic circuits. Jointly organized by the Guangde Technology Transfer Center of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the School of Materials and Chemistry, this activity received strong support from the Guangde Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and Guangde Economic Development Zone. It aims to leverage the university’s strengths in scientific research and talent resources, tackle technical bottlenecks for enterprises and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
The service group visited a number of enterprises as well as the Guangde Rubber‑Plastic Association located in the West Zone, North Zone and main park of Guangde Economic Development Zone. The visited entities include Anhui Mingxun New‑Material Technology Co., Ltd., Guangde Yupeng Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Lanfeng New‑Packaging Materials Co., Ltd., Anhui Muyi Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Keneng New‑Material Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Longxing Sealing Parts Co., Ltd., Anhui Lixin Special Steel Co., Ltd., Guangde Difa Machinery Co., Ltd. and Anhui
Runkang Rubber‑Plastic Technology Co., Ltd., precisely covering industries of intelligent equipment, new materials, auto parts and electronic circuits. Experts from the group went deep into enterprise workshops and research‑and‑development front‑lines. They carried out on‑site exchanges, special‑topic docking and demand‑oriented discussions on key technical issues such as the application of micro‑arc oxidation technology, performance improvement of high‑performance sealing materials, upgrading of intelligent equipment manufacturing, research and development of advanced high‑strength steel, and production of special‑purpose thin‑film materials. New pathways for university‑enterprise cooperation have been opened up through multi‑level modes including establishing paired partnerships, setting up joint research teams and building long‑term cooperation mechanisms.
Professor Zhang Yongqing, Director of the Guangde Technology Transfer Center, introduced that university‑local cooperation has been continuously deepened since the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Guangde City jointly built the technology transfer center in 2024. At present, Guangde has established a modern industrial system known as the 1+2+2 framework, with new energy as its primary‑priority industry, auto parts and electronic circuits as leading industries, and intelligent‑equipment manufacturing and new‑material industries as advantageous sectors. This science‑and‑technology service activity serves as a precise response from the university’s research force to this industrial layout.
Dou Yonggao, Director of Guangde Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, expressed the hope that this activity could serve as an opportunity to further promote the implementation and transformation of university scientific and technological achievements in Guangde and inject fresh momentum into enterprise‑driven innovation. Vice‑Dean Miao Yuqing from the School of Materials and Chemistry, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, stated that the school will continue to give play to its disciplinary and talent advantages, advance in‑depth industry‑university‑research integration centred on the industrial demands of Guangde, and contribute to the high‑quality development of the regional economy.
