To create a warm and festive holiday atmosphere and effectively care for students staying on campus during the winter vacation, the School of Materials and Chemistry of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology has recently launched a series of activities themed Welcoming the Spring Festival · Sending Blessings. Secretary of the Party Committee of the School Cao ying, Deputy Secretary Dong Xiaoliang, all counselors and representatives of some teachers participated in the activities, extending Chinese New Year greetings and heartfelt care to the students staying on campus.
Writing Spring Festival Couplets with Splash Ink, Welcoming the New Year with Fragrant Calligraphy
Teachers and student representatives gathered together, with red paper spread out and ink fragrance wafting, to write Spring Festival couplets. Teachers and students integrated their beautiful wishes for the New Year into every stroke, and one piece of festive couplet full of blessings and one vibrant red Chinese character Fu (blessing) came alive on the paper. Auspicious phrases such as Heaven's favor and human harmony, Gentle spring breeze and bright scenery and Happiness and perfection conveyed the school's Spring Festival blessings to teachers and students, filling the venue with a strong festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.
