On December 31, Chen Yong, Secretary of the Party committee of the school of energy and materials of Shanghai Second University of technology, and Wang Yuanyuan, President of the school, led a team to our school for investigation. Zhou Tao, Secretary of the Party committee, and Li Guisheng, vice dean (presiding over the work), together with the members of the team, met with the visitors and had discussions and exchanges. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Tao and Li Guisheng made a speech. At the meeting, Li Guisheng warmly welcomed the school of energy and materials of Shanghai Second University of technology and gave a comprehensive introduction to the school's rules and regulations, framework system, performance award, talent cultivation, scientific research integration, fund management, discipline degree point construction and other measures and achievements. He stressed that the teachers and students of the school are making unremitting efforts to achieve the high-quality and deep-seated development of the college with the goal of building a college of materials and chemistry with distinctive characteristics.

Wang Yuanyuan highly recognized the development of SMC, USST, and introduced the recent reform and development of the school of energy and materials of Shanghai Second University of technology. She expressed the hope that the survey would establish a long-term contact mechanism to provide a bridge for the continuous exchange and common development of the two institutions. The two sides had extensive and in-depth exchanges on discipline orientation, development concept, governance mode, talent training and other aspects.

In his speech, Chen Yong said that he had gained a lot from his visit in SMC, USST. After more than ten years of development and expansion, SMC, USST is expected to develop in the next ten years. It is hoped that in the future, the two academies will make concerted progress and seek common development through in-depth cooperation and exchanges at various levels and in various fields.
